what is the secret to your success???
this is probably the most asked question of the speaker at any seminar, or person of fame, importance, notoriety.
ask anyone of these people and they will tell you:
but wait a second, "i work hard too...but I'm not rich or as wealthy as this person." this is often the general statement from the general public.
yes, absolutely you work hard, and in doing so you have become successful in what you are doing. people often take for granted that their own life is a success. quite often a raging success!
by doing the work, day in day out, most everyone has become a success in what they are doing right now.
i know mothers who have wonderful happy, healthy children who grumble and whine about how hard it is. i have worked beside men who are making triple or quadruple the salary of the average joe, and they have no high school education at best. they work in the best conditions that this planet has to offer, and they mumble, grumble and blame someone else about how crappy they have it.
whatever you spend most of your time on, will naturally become a success. this is the nature of the universe. this is how our brains are built. they are built to garner every little, niggling detail out of whatever you see the most.
are you a full time painter? you have a success on your hands! if you are a stay at home mom...it will be a success, even if you dislike it. if you are homeless...it is a raging success, even if you hate it. if you are fat and lazy and like to spend most of your time watching TV...guess what...another raging success!!!
when i sit and talk to someone i usually work the conversation to a question; what do you want the most? what will make you happy?
answers fall into three categories:
actually you can talk and all three will come up with a varying degree of importance in almost any conversation.
one thing that most people forget, is that they have all three of these already. you cannot exist on this planet if you don't.
you have everything you need to be a success...or maybe it's just that you are a success and will not acknowledge it. you are too busy knocking it.
get up and go look at yourself in the mirror. give yourself a little smack and wake up. have a look in your mind's eye at what you will be doing today, and realize this too is a success.
if it's not what you want to be doing, the answer to that is simple.... do something else, because the work you do and the time you put into it, will naturally turn it into a success.
if it's not what you want to be doing, well...give yourself another smack.

the secret to success is work.
